The Costa Blanca

The Costa Blanca, offers a mountainous interior with small villages, miles of glorious sandy beaches and coastal holiday resorts, guaranteed is one of the most visited regions in Spain. The Costa Blanca attracts millions of tourists every year. The Spanish Costa Blanca features all types of attractions that range from Mediterranean and Moorish landscapes down in the valleys to the cosmopolitan stretch of beach resorts such as Benidorm, Alicante and Torrevieja that dot the entire coastline.

Torrevieja & Orihuela Costa

Orihuela Costa is a picturesque, although amenable location in the heart of the Costa Blanca region of Spain. In recent years, the area has seen a considerable rise in its economy due largely to the high level of tourism.

As recently as 2004, Torrevieja, which center is less than three kilometres from the Orihuela Costa, had the largest number of British residents compared to all the other municipalites.

Torrevieja is a coastal town in the south of Alicante province. It is situated within the district of Vega Baja, it has a population of 81,080 inhabitants and is contained within town boundaries which are adjacent to Guardamar del Segura to the north, Rojales and Benijófar to the west, Montesinos and San Miguel de Salinas to the southwest and the Orihuela beaches to the south.The climate is temperate continental, with temperate winters and mild summers with temperatures which range between 18 and 25 degrees for most of the year.

Originally Torrevieja was a small fishing village set around the 15th cetuary tower known as "Torre-Vigia", the town's inhabitants have been characterised by their friendliness, hospitality and their openness to different cultures infact , nowadays, they are accustomed to living with people from 112 countries.

The majority of tourists come from U.K, Germany, Ireland, Belgium and Nordic countries. During recent years, Torrevieja has taken giant steps towards consolidating itself as a first class tourist resort. The spectacular growth experienced by Torrevieja has generated 8000 new jobs in 18 months and the creation of 700 new companies. The current annual trade volume is over 3.6 billion euros. Torrevieja faces the 21st century with dynamism.
